Tactical Handgun 2 Course
Tactical Handgun 2 (TH2) is our intermediate level handgun course. Prior to taking this class each student is required to complete TH1 or demonstrate a comparable level of competency with a handgun. TH2 picks up where TH1 left off. Due to this we are able to keep this class light on lecture and heavy on live fire drills to rapidly increase the rounds fired over one day. Our main focus on this class is movement, using cover, and clearing malfunctions on the fly while utilizing cover and concealment. It is a very active and fast paced day that is designed to significantly increase each shooter’s proficiency using real life scenario based training. We begin with a brief recap of TH1 as well as a quick live fire accuracy analysis to ensure students are still at a safe and competent level. We then move straight into live fire malfunction clearing. The next segments of drills involve firing under stress and with an accelerated heart rate from standing, kneeling and prone positions. To ensure the safety and longevity of our students, we can work around most physical limitations. We continue by going straight into movement drills including movement from cover to cover while incorporating different reloads and malfunction clearing. Another major aspect we cover is close quarters contact drills since many use of force encounters happen within a few feet of the shooter. We finish the course with drills designed to include everything that students have learned and covered during the course to include firing while moving at multiple targets then reloading from cover to engage more targets. This class will put you into more realistic drills that might be representative of self-defense situations you may find yourself in.

Firearm rental (which includes ammo) is available with advanced notice for an additional $120.00.
HR 218 annual qualification for retired law enforcement is available for an additional $45.00
