NRA Pistol Shooting Basics Course near Eugene & Springfield Oregon is intended for all individuals in Oregon regardless of previous pistol shooting experience.

This Oregon NRA Pistol Shooting Basics Course provided by Defensive Firearms Instruction takes place over two (2) days and is conducted in a traditional classroom setting in Springfield Oregon and also at a shooting range environment in Calapooia Oregon.

Day 1 of the NRA basics of pistol course is four (4) hours long and is held in a classroom in Springfield. Day 2 of the NRA basics of pistol course is seven (7) hours long and is conducted at a gun range in Calapooia.

Pistol Shooting Basics students will learn the following during the Oregon NRA Pistol Shooting Basics Course:

• Gun Safety Rules
• Proper Operation of Revolvers and Semi-Automatic Pistols
• Ammunition Knowledge and Selection
• Pistol Selection and Storage
• Shooting Fundamentals
• Pistol Inspection and Maintenance
• Marksmanship
• Shooting Range Safety

Pistol Shooting Basics students will complete the following during the Oregon NRA Pistol Shooting Basics Course:

• Live-fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.

Pistol Shooting Basics students will receive the following during the Oregon NRA Pistol Shooting Basics Course:

• NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook
• Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination
• Basics of Pistol Shooting Course Completion Certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor
