American College Surgeons Stop The Bleed Course:

Bleeding injury can happen anywhere.

We’ve all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life.

Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents such as a car crash, as a result of an active shooter / active threat, or natural disasters.

Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to stop bleeding.

The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death.

By learning how to Stop the Bleed, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques.

Take the Stop the Bleed course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens Course:

The Bloodborne Pathogens course instructs individuals on ways to protect themselves and others when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

It is also designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens, including correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff, and tattoo artists.

The course uses the PACT™ acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training.

Taking this course in addition to the AHA First Aid/ CPR/ AED will get you your BLS certification.

This course is held the same day as the First Aid / CPR / AED course.

Individuals who complete both will receive their Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The cost for the STOP THE BLEED / Bloodborne Pathogens course is $100.00.
